Can Scott Frost be more of a Whiner?
Let’s start with Frost’s comments about his time as the head coach at Nebraska. The “Wrong Job”? Dude everyone in the state of Nebraska wanted you to succeed and gave you everything you needed to win. You went 16-31 in 4.5 seasons and went 5-22 in one score games….some of that has to be on the coach. And Special Teams was abysmal. I will you remind you of the Michigan State game in 2021 at home? Dude, you have to take responsibility for your actions. That is a good lesson for everyone including our current president.
I’m hoping that Kansas beats the crap out of UCF. I respect everything you did as a player, but you had all the backing of the entire state and you blew it.
The new Kansas football stadium looks awesome
So, KU football will be back in Lawrence for home games this year and the stadium looks amazing. I would love to see a game there. And I would love to see a renewed rivalry with Nebraska, home-at-home series.
Bill Self heart condition
So it sounds like Self is ok after another heart issue. 2 stents that is not good. I have two in my brain so it’s definitely a scare. I think he will b fine, but it now makes a lot of sense why they hired Jacque Vaughn as an assistant coach. I could definitely see Jacque could be the next Head Coach at Kansas in 3 years. Which for me is perfect. Jacque knows the Kansas culture and the NBA. And the difference between Jacque and Frost is Jacque has been everywhere and will be successful.
I suggested this on a Kansas Facebook page, and people are saying he has no college experience. As I recall neither did Roy Williams before the AD Frederick at Kansas took a chance. How did that work out? Hmmm pretty good I would say: 15 years, an .805 winning pct., 14-year NCAA Tournament streak and 4 Final Fours. What makes Jacque different is he will stay and won’t get dragged somewhere else.
Trade Deadline: Twins and the Orioles
The Orioles: So Soto has been traded, he won’t be the last. I think O’Hearn will be gone soon, along with Ramón Laureano and possibly Eflin, not sure about Mullins. Trade value might not be there. Henderson and Holliday should not be on the table. It sucks because, I didn’t expect the Os to be sellers. I will say Elias’s draft picks this year were solid. If the Os make the right moves, they could be in the playoffs next year. If not, Elias is gone.
The. Twins: They still have a playoff chance, but I see them selling some pieces. I could see them trading Griffin Jax, it would have to be the right deal. Do not trade Duran or Ryan.
Tidbits
So the Little Ball of Hate got tickets to the Savanah Bananas at Camden yards next weekend. Should be super fun.
