Football is back, Os Struggling and F the Buffs

Sorry for the hiatus, the Little Ball of Hate was dealing with real life stuff, but College football is back, so let’s get into it. Kansas and Nebraska take care of business and the Os limp out of August. Oh and it was my birthday Sept. 6th.

Dylan Raiola is the first NU QB in a long time who looks composed.

NU beats UTEP 40-7 behind their new QB

OK, so it was just UTEP, but still Dylan Raiola looked really good. No turnovers, some really nice passes and he really didn’t have to run.  Meanwhile the running game looked good, but it will definitely be a running back by committee.

The defense looks amazing again. If you ask me as long as Raiola doesn’t turn the ball over, NU should win at least 7 games. The Little Ball of Hate may be drinking the Kool-Aid, but a football playoff birth is not out of the question.

Ok, let’s get into it . F— Colorado (my mom gets mad if I curse), and this is not only for Coach Prime. The Buffs wished they were Nebraska. In the 1990s they had to make up a rivalry. I want NU to destroy them on Saturday night because Colorado fans are the worst!

It’s different, with Memorial Stadium being rebuilt, KU is playing at KC Sporting FC stadium.

Kansas takes care of Lindenwood (wherever that is) 48-3

It’s going to be a little weird watching some of KUs home games playing at KC Sporting FC’s stadium. But while Memorial Stadium gets rebuilt, that will be the case. From the pics, it looked like Jayhawk fans showed up in big numbers. When the Big 12 starts, home games will move to Arrowhead, that’s when we will see if KU fans can fill an NFL stadium.

If KU can handle business Saturday at Illinois, I think it will show that KU is legit.

Yeah, it was ugly. The Os scored 4 runs on no hits against the White Sox.

Orioles struggling, IL list getting crowded, but the White Sox came into town

How bad are the White Sox? Bad and not Michael Jackson bad. 5-38 since the All-Star Break. And their visit to Camden Yards could not have come at a better time.

With half of the Os Opening Day roster on the IL (only a slight exaggeration), the Orioles were limping through August. But then the Bad News Bears came into town. Should have been a sweep vs. the White Sox, but eventually a blind squirrel finds a win. Just to put into context how bad the White Sox are: They almost set a record for most losses in a row, they tied the 1988 Orioles for the AL record with 21. They limped into Baltimore on a 10 game losing streak. They have a chance to break the most futile record in baseball in the modern era, the 1962 Mets (40-120). But not 162 games? The Mets were like don’t worry about making up those last two games.

But Os have reinforcements coming if they can survive

The Os roster might get a shot in the arm (pun intended) sooner.

Coluombe and Webb are both on the verge of returning to the bullpen, which desperately needs help. I’m not sure how Hyde has been able to manage this hurt and at times unreliable bullpen. Guys you can (kind of) trust: Perez, Aiken, Seranthony Domínguez, and that might be it. Guys you hide in the bathroom when they pitch: Kimbrel, Soto and everyone else.

As for position players, hopefully Mounty is back soon, and it sounds like Westburg will be there before the season ends.

Enjoy the sportsball this weekend!!!
